Institute of Life, one of the largest and most advanced Assisted Reproduction Centres in Europe, has been created within “Iaso”, the top Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic in Greece. Services

In Vitro Fertilization (VF): Involves uniting the ovum with the spermatozoon in the laboratory in order to fertilize the ovum and obtain embryos for transfer in the mother’s uterus.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): The procedure of placing the sperm directly into the uterus, prepares in advance in the laboratory makes egg fertilization easier.

Egg Donation: A process whereby a woman uses oocytes from a donor to fulfill her desire of becoming a mother.

Sperm Donation: A voluntary act through which an anonymous healthy male with very high quality semen donates some of it, so that an infertile couple can fulfill their dream.

Surrogacy: If the medical condition of a woman makes a pregnancy impossible or dangerous for her, then another woman gets pregnant and gives birth to the first woman’s child.

Fertility Preservation: Offers women the possibility of postponing motherhood to those wishing to do so or to cancer patients.

Treatments

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICS): An advanced technique, combined with IVF, where a spermatozoon is directly inserted into the ovum under microscopic guidance. It is used in cases of severe male infertility.

Oocyte Cryopreservation: A modern technique that involves vitrification of a determined number of mature eggs from a woman. It constitutes an exceptionally and more efficient technique than traditional cryopreservation.

Magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS): It allows the spermatozoa with the best characteristics to be selected for use in Assisted Reproduction treatments.

Time-lapse: Allows the embryo cell division to be viewed on a monitor in real time, capturing moments from the beginning of life.

Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD): The screening of specific genetic and chromosomal alterations in embryos, in order to ensure that children are born free of hereditary diseases.

Pre-implantation Genetic Screening (PGS): The technique of removing one or more cell from an in vitro fertilized embryo to test for overall chromosomal normalcy.

Advanced Genetic Test: Allows us to minimize the transmission of genetic diseases to our children.
