Hip resurfacing is a type of surgery to replace a damaged hip joint. 

During hip resurfacing, we covr your femoral head with a smooth metal covering. We also remove the part of the damaged bone with the hip bone socket, replacing it with a metal shell. 

Hip resurfacing is a type of hip replacement surgery. In traditional hip replacement surgery, we remove your femoral head completely instead of just capping it with a metal covering. We also replace the socket of the hip bone, just like in hip resurfacing surgery.
