The surgical team of Grigoris Xepapadakis operates at the IASO Hospital.There he has established a specialized Breast Clinic, which is staffed by Doctors with special training and years of experience in dealing with breast disorders. The goal of the clinic is not only the treatment of diseases but also the early diagnosis of breast cancer.

From Monday to Friday, the External Prevention Clinic operates, where women can undergo a clinical examination, and where there is the possibility of promptly conducting diagnostic tests such as mammography, ultrasound as well as invasive diagnostic procedures.

For a complete and spherical treatment of patients, the Breast Clinic cooperates with doctors of various specializations in other departments of the IASO Hospital, such as radiologists, cytologists, pathologists, nuclear doctors, gynecologists, oncologists-chemotherapists, plastic surgeons and others.

It is also flanked by experienced nursing and paramedical staff, such as a psychologist for providing psychological support to patients and a physiotherapist for after-treatment care.

After the diagnosis of breast cancer, almost all patients are confronted with terrifying thoughts and feelings. They are full of doubts. Often the woman is afraid that she will never be able to return to her everyday life, that she will not play her role again as a mother, companion, daughter, girlfriend, professional.

She even doubts about the effectiveness of the treatments or about her own life. She is afraid of here possible change in her appearance and the impact it will have on her social and professional environment. Her emotions alternate very often, she experiences periods of despair and depression but also moments of hope for her life.

The role of Mr. Xepapadakis Clinical Breast Psychologist is to listen and to stand next to the sick woman, to help her understand her condition and accompany her through her treatment, facing her anxieties. At the same time, he helps the patient deal with any difficulties that may arise.
